Someday, I’m going to go to the Land Institute’s Prairie Festival. I tried to talk Grant into it this year, but two kids and a new job got in the way a bit. Who wants to come with me next year?!

Wendell Berry was there, and the main idea of his talk (from what I can gather) was this: “The ratio of eyes to acres has to change.” To see what he means by that and how we can go about changing things, check out this firsthand report from the NRDC.
