Mindfulness by the Seasons
A Workshop Series from Sara by the Season

Mindfulness by the Seasons came from my years of practicing “letting nature dictate our habits” and seeing the fruits that living seasonally has to offer. Mindfulness by the Seasons is a year-long opportunity to learn and practice various types of mindfulness and meditation techniques together based on the wisdom and rhythm of nature. Each month, we will explore a specific aspect of the season, learn a corresponding mindfulness technique and practice it together, and be encouraged to take some seasonal practices home with you.

Each month, you’ll learn:

  • A specific characteristic of the season and what it has to teach us.
  • A mindfulness or meditation practice that aligns with the season. We will learn and practice a different technique each month, so that, by the end of the year, you will have learned at least twelve different practices.
  • Seasonal practices, rituals, foods, etc. to try at home.
  • Benefits of a mindfulness practice.
  • A community of like-minded individuals interested in learning from nature’s rhythms.

FAQs

Do I have to attend all twelve sessions? No, you are welcome to come to as many or as few as works for your schedule. You will obviously gain the most by committing to the entire year because the content somewhat builds on itself, but even just one month will still be beneficial.

What should I bring? Wear comfortable clothes, like you would to a yoga class. I recommend you find a journal to be used just for Mindfulness by the Seasons, both for our time together and for your at-home use.  Water/tea and a snack might not be a bad idea either.

Do I need to have any meditation experience? No! This series will be great for beginners and experienced practioners alike. Hopefully, everyone will be convinced of the numerous benefits that a sustained mindfulness practice has to offer.

This sounds great, but I can’t afford it right now. I am really passionate about the benefits of living more in tune with the seasons, and I don’t want the investment to hold anyone back. Contact me if you’re on the fence, and we’ll see what we can work out (sara@sarabytheseason.com). Also, if you’re in a position in your life to support someone in need, please email me, and I’ll see if I can match people up.
